In the 1930's a more feminine look returned for ladies, skirts became longer and dresses were cut to emphasize the curves. That is right, curves were no longer being de-emphasized. The ideal body would be curvy, the hourglass figure, larger breasts and a slim waist.
Before the thirties it was normal to change outfits several times a day, fitting for the activites or times of the day. That changed in the 1930's, one outfit would be worn for the day and only on special occasions would it be changed throughout the day. |
