Gentlemen prefer blondes (1953)
Marilyn Monroe wore a bold and intense pink, satin dress in the 1953 film "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes". It was used in the famous sequence were Marilyn sings "Diamonds are a girl's best friend". The dress is decorated with a big bow on the bag and it was complemented with a pair of matching, long gloves almost to the shoulder. Marilyn wore many jewels, to be specific diamonds, which of course was because of the subject of the song.

Happy Birthday Mr. President (1962)
On May 19th, 1962 Marilyn Monroe performed "Happy Birthday Mr. President" for President John F. Kennedy at a celebration for his forty-fifth birthday. Marilyn wore a skintight, nude, sequined dress which is very iconic. It had 2,500 rhinestones sewn into it and was so tight Marilyn even had difficulities putting it on. One of the reasons it is so iconic, was it only being used few months before her death. In 1999 it was sold at an auction for over 1.26 million US dollars. She wore a white, fur coat with it.
